Döners and Decisions

Yo dude, I sold out

Because: I knocked the Spiegel Survival Bible and then participated in it, in that order. Spiegel's naked and in bed with Technorati, as am I, so we're at once collaborators and competition. So it doesn't feel that weird, but would you say I sold out, considering the circumstances? But we need each other!

It's the grand relationship between blogs and papers, commentators and investigators, couch dictators and... well, couch dictators. The line is getting blurred as more and more blogs are doing their own features and publications that have rested on their laurels and gotten lazy with reporting are beginning to hemorrhage readers. The optimism in the blogodrome can be a bit embarrassing at times, but it's a matter of time before every publication will have, at the very least, a blog format. SPON is well on their way, and bully for them.

And they at least found a photo of a good Döner spindle for the piece, not one of those cylinders of Nerf that you get at the one-Euro Döner shops. I don't even want to think about where that meat came from.
