We've All Got A Favorite Parent

Hamas minister visits Germany on the down-low

Okay, we knew this guy had a visa last week, when he visited Sweden. And what's even more delicious about last week is that Sweden staunchly refused Hamas Schengen visas on principle. I guess, after months of the EU aid sanction, Sweden gave in to its feelings for its old underdog pal?

So, anyways, his small bag is packed, his briefcase is out. Atef Odwan knows he's got to stir up some approval for Hamas, so where's he gonna go? Yeah, I'd do Germany too.

"The chancellor described this business as particularly irritating. She spoke of it as unpleasant and annoying," government spokesman Thomas Steg told reporters, citing Merkel's comments made to the cabinet earlier. "The German government rules out any contact with Hamas members. The Hamas minister who came to Germany is an unwanted person for the German government," Steg said.

Merkel didn't know about the visit? Riiiiiight. Before it was unacceptable, now it's irritation and annoyance. That valiant stand to a terrorist government lasted long. Open the gates, boys: Hamas is coming to your country!
