Americans, Americans, Americans, Americans

You are often loud and dumb

"Willful ignorance." That's the best explanation I've heard. I'm not going to pretend that Mitte is filled with goodwill ambassadors -- heterosexual males in nationalist cabals, wearing their jerseys and chanting their songs in the hopes that someone will have a problem with it. As for the New World's representatives, with their hot trends of Tevas and wearing the flag as a cape as if they were Captain America -- whatever, that's peace, but what's the deal with Americans talking like they're on a helicopter and walking around like they're in Epcot? I actually think they'd have more respect for Disney employees -- at least those guys are playing a part. These poor bastards seem like they really mean it, with the funny talking and wrong street signs.

Read this guy's travelogue and fight your gag reflex though passages like, "The hamburgers are better at home. While the food had goofy names, luckily the beer was still just called beer, or should I say Bier (for those trying to learn the language of our World Cup hosts)," and "I'm feeling hopelessly out of fashion here in Germany. I think I'm the only guy still wearing shorts. Every guy you see walking around is wearing capris. And it isn't just the young hipsters." Hate that word, by the way.

Yeah, I realize he's just writing for his audience. But could you people get out a little bit more, please? It would take care of literally all my problems. Might put me out of a job, though.

C, what are capris? (MMmmm...a subject for your next posting?)

You forgot to mention that they sometimes try to pay with dollars.

Or pay with Euros, and call it "Dollars". Even worse...
