In a strange case of life imitating art advertising, Wayne Rooney has been followed by another illustrious member of the global community -- James Kloppenburg, the founder of his eponymous town in Lower Saxony. The statue of Jesus that signifies the family grave in Berlin got His head knocked off and paint tossed on Him, in a style eerily reminiscent of the Rooney ad. The irony is coming at me in waves [of blood], but I can at least hold onto the notion that it was anti-fur activism, and not the transformation of Christ into some sort of Rooney figure.
