Flickr Today: The Wondrous Flag
Things sure have changed here in Germany, as a result of the hosting duties. Now, even God agrees that the flag is okay. We needn't change the name of the country to Fungary, like we planned.

There's nothing wrong with Germany and there's never been. While, yes, some awful things got out of control during the last war everthing should be put into context. Germans didn't just wake up one morning and decide to launch those events. They were victims of politics and history as much as anyone else. The post WWI conditions were very bad and Germany was betrayed at Versailles. Anyone who doesn't see the intracacies of what happened is ignorant, logic resistant and looking to blame Germans and make them feel bad.
Germany should review the her history and accept that bad things happen in wars. Germanies soldiers were great and heroic, many died fighting fiercely and honorably and they should be honored and not hidden. Even the Waffen SS has a history that can be admired if one separates issues out and places them in context. Joachim Pieper was a great german and should be honored. It's time to put all that guilt away, Germany has paid enough, and honor its history. I would like to see statues and monuments erected to the great Germans like Pieper, Rommel, Von Stauffenburg and the many others who did what they were asked to do and believed it was to save Germany.
Germany and Germans are great. I've been there and I know. I've been to France also... Look, some cultures are better than others, it's just the way it is...don't apologise for being German and great.

Now THAT was a US-Nazi! Dude, you will be right at home with the German Neo-Nazis if you come on like that. No nonsense.

When you're German and have difficulty talking to girls, expect things to get even more worse when you cross the Atlantic.
