Town of Delmenhorst faces fascist takeover of local establishment

Ah, neo-fascists: the great detractors of your nation, miring it in a Stone Age of political sensitivity where no one can avoid mentioning the war. Will the Fatherland ever be free?

Some neo-Nazi lawyer (which is equal in power and influence to a whole gang of skinhead toughs, in my German society strategy game) wants to buy a hotel and turn it into a conference center. For you-know-whos. He's already garnered about half a million Euro in donations, so it's not the least popular gig in town, is it? An adult video store in America would encounter more blowback. Of course, support is mostly coming from the brotherhood, which spans several nations, so you can't fault them for unity. I'd mostly fault the rest of us for our lack thereof. It seems like modern society dissolves a willing coalition for a good cause faster than anything else -- there's none of the perverse glamour or merchandising money that this guy stands to make.

Is racial purity good? Let's get as shallow as possible about this, for the purposes of irrefutable proof, and analyze it in terms of physical attractiveness. Vice magazine champions interracial mixing for generating what they call "10s," citing obscure examples like mutts and that racially ambiguous girl in the Pepsi commercials, but I just don't know. Bulwarks of naturally-occuring ethnic purity -- like, say, Iceland or, hmm, Southern Germany -- don't seem to be doing too badly in the attractiveness department either. So maybe both ways are okay? It takes all types to make up a world? We shouldn't be forced or advised either way?

Just like the recent bomb scare aboard USA/UK flights has a lot of ridiculous British dipshits calling for a general Muslim travel ban -- what does that even mean, brown people, people carrying Qurans, what? -- discrimination is shallow, dumb and going nowhere. In the countryside and even in the city, where most of one's negative experiences with other cultures isn't even direct, we'll never eliminate this brand of nationalism (to Germany's detriment, of course), until something far worse takes its place. I'm guessing mass anesthetization, Harrison Bergeron-style, so we can't even get the blood up to hate. What you're doing right now is only a beta version, so don't worry.
