British Diggin Berlin

The yearly hotel guests in Berlin have doubled from 3,4 million to 7,1 million since 1997. Thanks to the World Cup last summer, it gave many British a new perspective on Berlin, who are now the biggest group of vistors besides the Germans. Not that any Tscherman prejudice ever had anything to do with the English media.
Even though the hooligans reinforced their reputation in Stuttgart and Dortmund during the Cup, especially after the German victory against Sweden, where an English man spat on the black, red and gold flag - it's a minority. In come punches, tables and chairs flying around the Schlossplatz. I've heard the Polish hooles go to sleep with baseball bats.
The growing tourism magnet is just in time for the world's largest tourism fair, the ITB, which starts tomorrow.
