Since the Iraq War challenged the relationship between Germany and the United States in 2003, new strategic approaches and younger influencers were needed. Among them was the Atlantic Initiative, a non-profit think tank, which was founded by Jan-Friedrich Kallmorgen and Johannes Bohnen in 2004. Today, under the auspices of Casey Butterfield and Jörg Wolf, just one block from the Reichstag, a new web 2.0 inspired site launched: The Atlantic Community.
