TUI Travel Upbeat

Europe's largest tourism company and German-British conglomerate is happy with this years bookings and saw a 7% increase in Germany, compared to last year, for the winter season 2007/08. In England, TUI runs the brand as Thomson with the same logo, whereas the numbers aren't that sharp in the UK, due to rising security and fuel costs, which cut revenues by 12%. It didn't hurt the stock, which traded higher in London and Frankfurt.
